UNITAR Hosts 2023 Teacher’s Day
Petaling Jaya, 13 May 2023 – UNITAR International University (“UNITAR”) hosted a combined Teacher’s Day and Raya event to recognise the efforts of teachers and celebrate Raya inclusively as education providers. The event was primarily aimed to celebrate our teachers in their efforts of nurturing the next generation of students.
The half-day event included various workshops and forums relating to current issues faced in the classroom, as well as addressing any challenges faced by teachers today. Forum Topic: Challenges in the Digital Transformation in the Education Sector
Through this forum session, teachers collectively gained several advantages that improved and prepared them to stay ahead of the learning curve in the modern digital era. Among the objectives that UNITAR sought to highlight during this event included:
- Enhance teachers’ pedagogical knowledge and skills, especially keeping up with current developments.
- Produce teachers who are more competent in pedagogy.
- Triggering motivation and self-confidence in teachers to make improvements in their teaching patterns, making way for impactful outcomes.
In collaboration with UNITAR’s partner schools, we are confident that this event allowed teachers to experience the uniqueness of UNITAR’s campus and explore our industry-leading programmes available for their progression and upskilling needs. The event concluded with a Raya celebration to strengthen and build new relationships with our teachers in the spirit of togetherness.
