Petaling Jaya, 18 October 2023 – UNITAR International University’s (UNITAR) Faculty of Education and Humanities (FEH) took centre stage by hosting its Industry Roundtable 2023 at its Main Campus in Kelana Jaya. Themed “Empowering Tomorrow’s Workforce: Bridging Skills Gaps, Shaping Future Graduates, and Adapting to the Evolving Education Landscape for Sustainable Development.
The objective of this Roundtable was to have a collaborative exchange of ideas and perspectives from industry experts, alumni, practitioners, and policymakers. Additionally, it addresses bridging gaps within curriculum industries considering IR4.0 and emerging AI technologies. Together, the Roundtable also addressed 3 trending topics relating to the education sector which include:
• What skills are still relevant in the specific industry?
• What needs to be revamped or repurposed?
• How best to align the curriculum with the jobs of tomorrow?
Apart from these topics, distinguished lecturers from various institutions along with UNITAR’s Alumni were also present to share their experiences and input on the incredible power of education in the digital era. The Industry Roundtable saw a positive reception from leaders who were present at the event as it opened new avenues for quality networking opportunities.
