Terms & Conditions
- The Student Get Student programme is eligible for UNITAR Current Students & UNITAR Alumni to participate (Main Campus, Colleges, Regional Centres).
- UNITAR Staff and Education Recruitment Agents is not eligible for this programme.
- Eligible for both Malaysian and International students.
- SGS applicant (Referrers) are required to fill up the Student Get Student Form to participate in this highly rewarding program. Personal details collected from referrers will be used for payment processing when new students (referees) have successfully enrolled and paid the fees’ as determined, to any UNITAR International University or UNITAR Regional Centres.
- The Student Get Student Programme is valid and applicable to referrers and referees who meet the following criteria:
- The referee must be UNITAR Alumni or UNITAR Current Students (Main Campus / Colleges / Regional Centres)
- This program is not applicable to UNITAR Staffs across Malaysia, Human Resource Personnel within UNITAR, Education Recruitment Agents.
- For those that refer their family into UNITAR, they can choose from either to take up the Student Referral Program or Family Loyalty Award. They are only entitled to one out of these 2 choices.
- The referee must not have:
- An existing lead record in UNITAR CRM System or
- Any engagement (E-Counselling / Visit) with UNITAR Education Counsellor in the past 12 months
- With exception to the rule in Section 4d, student that has visited UNITAR and has record under UNITAR system is eligible under the “referee” status if:
- The student has signed up in other institution, but the student came back to sign up in UNITAR because of their friend.
- Example: Student A visited & counselled by UNITAR before. However, Student A signed up with other institution for January Intake. 2 weeks later, Student A came back to UNITAR to sign up due to friend’s referral.
- Proof of student signed up in other institution will be required. (Example: Receipt Payments, Offer Letter)
- The referee must have been notified and consented to having their details, personal data and information being shared with UNITAR for this Program.
- Each individual referee can only be referred to UNITAR once. In the event, that a referee has been referred to UNITAR more than once, only the first person to refer the referee to UNITAR will be eligible for the referral reward under this Program.
- The referrer will only be eligible to receive the referral reward if the referee successfully enrolled with UNITAR International University & Colleges / Regional Centres.
- The Student Get Student Programme referral reward amount per successful enrolment is as below:
- UNITAR Conventional Programmes : RM 500 – RM1,000 Per enrollment
- UNITAR Online Programmes : RM 300 – RM700 Per enrollment
- All payments of the referral reward payable to the referrer upon confirmation of successful enrolment shall be settled by UNITAR within thirty (30) working days from the last official date of the First Semester provided that the referred Student remains in the Program and has no outstanding payments to UNITAR for the First Semester as verified by the Student Finance Department.
- Referrer must submit the following documents:
- SGS Application Form
- Photocopy of IC’s Copy of the Referrer and applicant
- Proof of referring the potential student to UNITAR
- Proof of Engagement Activities from the UNITAR CRM (provided by UNITAR Education Counsellor)
- SGS form should be submitted prior to student registration and shall not be later than the late enrollment period of the intake. Any late submission will not be entertained.
- Referrer shall not have any authority whatsoever, whether express or otherwise, to make any offer of a place to any potential student(s) or to suggest to the potential student(s) that the University will offer a place to the student(s). For avoidance of doubt, the referrer shall have no authority whatsoever to enter into any agreement or promises which may bind the University.
- The University is under no obligation to make any offer to new student(s) referred by referrer and shall be entitled to the right to reject any or all the application(s) submitted.
- The University reserves the right to remove or make amendments to the SGS campaign in future without prior notice.
- UNITAR International University & Colleges / Regional Centres (UNITAR) alumni and UNITAR staff are not considered as potential new students. They shall not be recruited by any SGS applicant in any circumstances.
- UNITAR reserves the right to suspend with immediate effect the payment/ participation if:
- The Referrer is found to commit any form of misrepresentation in the submission of the new student application(s).
- There is an element of fraud, wrongdoing or false information provided by Referrer and/or the new student.
- The Referrer is found to be soliciting for prospective student(s) during Exhibitions / Events participated or undertaken by the University.
- The University reserves the right to withhold Payment if the newly registered student withdraws from the Programme at any time during the First Semester.
- The University reserves the right to contact the newly registered student directly to confirm details submitted in the Application Form.
- Referring to Item (8), if upon further investigation the cause of late submission is found due to the fault of the Education Counsellor who is incharge of the referred student, the University reserves the right to hold the education counsellor accountable to compensate accordingly:
- The SGS form and required documents was not submitted by Education Counsellor, and
- The submission deadline has exceeded the internal grace period of 6 months (eg: Student is referred for Jan 2024 intake, grace period is until July 2024)
1. Eligibility:
- The Student-Get-Student (SGS) Programme is open to current UNITAR students and alumni (Main Campus, Colleges, Regional Centres).
- The programme is eligible for both Malaysian and International students.
2. How to Participate:
- Referrers must complete the Student-Get-Student (SGS) Form to participate in this programme.
- Personal details collected from referrers will be used for payment processing once the new students (referees) successfully enroll and pay the required fees to UNITAR International University, UNITAR College or KLMUC.
3. Referral of Family Members:
- If referring a family member, the referrer can choose between the Student Referral Programme or the Family Loyalty Award, but only one option may be selected.
4. Referee Restrictions:
- The referee must NOT:
- Have an existing lead record in the UNITAR database.
- Have engaged (e.g., E-Counseling, Visit) with a UNITAR Education Counsellor in the past 12 months.
5. Exceptions:
- Students who have a record in the UNITAR database but initially signed up with another institution are still eligible as referees if they return to UNITAR due to a friend’s referral.
- Example: Student A was counselled by UNITAR but chose another institution for the January intake. Two weeks later, Student A returned to UNITAR due to their friend’s referral.
- Proof of prior enrolment at another institution is required (e.g., payment receipt, offer letter).
6. Data Consent:
- The referee must be notified and must consent to their personal data being shared with UNITAR for this programme.
7. Referral Eligibility:
- Each referee can only be referred to UNITAR once. If a referee is referred more than once, only the first person to refer them will be eligible for the reward.
8. Referral Reward Conditions:
- The referrer will only be eligible for the reward if the referee successfully enrolls with UNITAR International University, UNITAR College or KLMUC.
9. Reward Payment Timeline:
- Payments will be made to the referrer within 30 working days from the last official date of the first semester, provided the student remains enrolled and has no outstanding payments.
10. Submission Deadlines:
- The SGS form must be submitted prior to student registration and no later than the late enrolment period of the intake. Late submissions will not be entertained.
11. Authority of Referrers:
- Referrers do not have the authority to offer or guarantee places at UNITAR. Only UNITAR holds the right to make offers to new students.
12. University’s Rights:
- UNITAR reserves the right to:
- Reject any student application without obligation.
- Amend or discontinue the SGS programme without prior notice.
13. Programme Restrictions:
- UNITAR alumni and staff are not eligible to be referred.
14. Suspension of Participation:
- UNITAR may suspend participation if:
- The referrer is found to have misrepresented any information.
- There is any fraud or false information provided.
- The referrer is found soliciting students during UNITAR events or exhibitions.
15. Payment Withholding:
- UNITAR reserves the right to withhold payment if the newly registered student withdraws from the programme during the first semester.
16. Direct Communication:
- UNITAR reserves the right to contact the newly registered student directly to verify details submitted in the application form.
