UNITAR Hosts Special Workshop for Teachers in Celebration of Teachers Day 2024

Petaling Jaya, 25 May 2024 – Gifting a treat in conjunction with Teachers Day 2024, UNITAR International University (“UNITAR”) proudly organised a special workshop for teachers within the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur districts. The workshop, titled “Teacher’s Motivation in Developing Student’s Success” was held at UNITAR’s main campus in Kelana Jaya.
During the event, over 200 teachers were present at the workshop along with officers from JPN and PPD. Before the workshop session commenced, the stage was graced by UNITAR’s Dean of Education and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Mallika Vasugi A/P Govindajoo who is a seasoned author and educator spanning 4 decades of veteran experience within the education industry. Prof. Mallika eloquently spoke about her teaching journey and her diverse experiences with all attendees.
The workshop was centred around a comprehensive approach that covered the following objectives, aimed at modernising teaching approaches and equipping teachers with new knowledge to match the current demands of the industry:
- Motivate teachers in facing daily challenges as educators.
- Inspire teachers to innovate in their teaching methods, thereby aiding student excellence.
- Create opportunities for interaction between teachers and UNITAR to assist schools in student development.
- Provide teachers with exposure to students’ future directions after completing school education.
- Develop more competent teachers in the ever-evolving world.
