Upskill for Your Next Career Opportunity with UNITAR's PERKESO EIS Programme

Perkeso Employment Insurance System (EIS), also known as Lindung Kerjaya, was established on 1 January 2018 to support individuals who have lost their jobs by providing income replacement and re-employment assistance.

As part of the programme, Insured Persons (IPs) will receive re-employment assistance from Employment Services Officers (ESO) and gain access to job matching opportunities through MYFutureJobs. Eligible participants may also enroll in skills training programmes to enhance their employability during unemployment or after securing new employment.

UNITAR is proud to be one of the approved training providers under the EIS programme, offering industry-relevant courses designed to equip participants with valuable professional and digital skills.

What is PERKESO Employment Insurance System (EIS)

The Employment Insurance System (EIS) is a Malaysian social security initiative administered by PERKESO (SOCSO). It provides financial assistance and career support to eligible employees who have lost their jobs, while helping them return to employment through career services, retraining, and upskilling opportunities.

Through approved training providers, eligible participants may receive funded training designed to build new competencies that match current industry needs. Training fees for approved programmes may be covered under EIS up to RM4,000, subject to PERKESO eligibility, approval, and consultation or referral by an Employment Services Officer (ESO).
