Diploma in Information Technology is tailored to provide students who wish to pursue a career in the Information Technology sector with essential knowledge and skills, key technical information and theoretical understanding for them to explore technology-based venture effectively.
This programme exposes students to programming principles & techniques, operating systems in terms of development & maintenance as well as system analysis. It also helps students to deepen their knowledge in data communication and data structures that will help them to secure a place in the demanding Information Technology industry.

Entry Requirements
Academic Requirements
- Possess SPM with at least three (3) credits in any subjects (inclusive of Mathematics or an equivalent qualification); OR
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in one subject and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level (or equivalent); OR
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul (Pass) and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level (or equivalent); OR
- Possess SKM Level 3 in a related field (Candidates without Mathematics may be admitted subject to a rigorous assessment to determine competencies equivalent to SPM-level Mathematics); OR
- Pass Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.00; OR
- Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government; OR
a) Candidates may be admitted if their qualification includes Mathematics subject(s) equivalent to SPM-level Mathematics.
b) Candidates without a pass in Mathematics at SPM level (or equivalent) may still be admitted but are required to take and pass a reinforcement Mathematics subject, which must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer.
Notes
- a)Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at the SPM level (or equivalent) may be admitted if their qualification contains Mathematics subject(s) equivalent to SPM level.
- b) Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at the SPM level (or equivalent) and without a Mathematics subject in their admission qualification must take and pass the reinforcement Mathematics subject equivalent to SPM level. The reinforcement Mathematics subject must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer.
- c) Candidates with a credit in Computing-related subject(s) at the SPM level (or equivalent) may be given preferential consideration.
English Requirements (International Students Only)
- a) Achieve a minimum Band 3 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (Mid B1).
- b) Students who do not meet this requirement must take English proficiency courses to ensure sufficient proficiency for the programme.
