Entry Requirements

You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Master’s Programme:

  • i. A bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent as accepted by UNITAR Senate; OR
  • ii. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years working experience in education

Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (ii).

Language Requirements

  • Minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS OR
  • Minimum score of 40 for TOEFL iBT OR its equivalent

  3. A Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) (Level 6, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent, as accepted by the UNITAR Senate, AND a Diploma in Early Childhood Education / at least two (2) years of working experience in Early Childhood fields; OR
  4. A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent, as accepted by the UNITAR Senate, may be considered with a minimum of five (5) years working experience in Early Childhood fields and successful completion of prerequisite courses; OR
  5. Candidates without a qualification in the related field or working experience in the relevant fields must undertake appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the HEP, and must meet the minimum CGPA requirements stated in (i)–(iv).

APEL (A) Admission Pathway

Applicants seeking admission via APEL (A) into the Master’s programme (Level 7, MQF) must:

a) Be a Malaysian citizen; AND
b) Be 30 years of age or older in the year of application; AND
c) Possess at least STPM / recognised Diploma / A-Levels / equivalent qualifications; AND
d) Demonstrate relevant work experience and/or prior experiential learning; AND
e) Successfully pass the APEL Assessment.

English Language Requirements (International Students)
