Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (Level 6, MQF) or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the UNITAR Senate; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) (Level 6, MQF) in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the UNITAR Senate, AND at least three (3) years working experience in the Early Childhood field; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) (Level 6, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent, as accepted by the UNITAR Senate, AND a Diploma in Early Childhood Education / at least two (2) years of working experience in Early Childhood fields; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent, as accepted by the UNITAR Senate, may be considered with a minimum of five (5) years working experience in Early Childhood fields and successful completion of prerequisite courses; OR
- Candidates without a qualification in the related field or working experience in the relevant fields must undertake appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the HEP, and must meet the minimum CGPA requirements stated in (i)–(iv).
APEL (A) Admission Pathway
Applicants seeking admission via APEL (A) into the Master’s programme (Level 7, MQF) must:
a) Be a Malaysian citizen; AND
b) Be 30 years of age or older in the year of application; AND
c) Possess at least STPM / recognised Diploma / A-Levels / equivalent qualifications; AND
d) Demonstrate relevant work experience and/or prior experiential learning; AND
e) Successfully pass the APEL Assessment.
English Language Requirements (International Students)
Achieve MUET or any recognised English competency test equivalent to Mid B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
